By now, I'm going to proclaim my bold hope that everyone on this blog has read The Witch and enjoyed it. If you haven't picked it up yet, what are you waiting for? It's permanently free on Amazon. Go get your copy!
If I'm right, and you enjoyed The Witch, then you've enjoyed a book that took only three months to write, edit, list, and produce.
Yup. From start to finish. Three months.
Now, for a quick question: have you ever thought about creating a book of your own? If it's something you're not interested in, then go ahead and pass on the rest of this blog post. I won't be offended, nor am I going to try and give you a hard sell that it's for everyone, as not everyone wants to write for a living.
However, if you have...might I suggest you click here and at the very least sign up and watch the videos when they go live on July 31st. Do yourself that favor and carve out a little bit of time. They won't take much longer than sitting down and watching a sitcom or a cartoon (the first video is only around 25 minutes).
I know, I know. 'Oh, so this is another pitch'. Yup. I'm pitching something to you because I honestly believe this will help anyone looking to publish a book on their own. It doesn't matter if you're just starting with an idea, are just about finished with a book and are simply looking for a few directions and pointers, or have absolutely no idea at all but know that you want to write.
I'll even give you something to Google so you can check it out on your own before deciding on whether or not to sign up: 'Chandler Bolt Self Publishing School'. Go ahead, look into it. I'll wait. :)
No worries if you decide against it or only sign up for the free video series and then do nothing with it. I just figure that there's nothing wrong with a few more free tools in your toolbelt. I know I enjoyed the program, and you can judge the results of Chandler's program yourself by looking through The Witch one more time.
Whatever you decide, I'll be posting a quick reminder on July 31st, when the first video goes live, so you'll be aware of it. If you're an aspiring -- or new -- author, I really hope you give Chandler a chance to at least set out a road map and give you a few author-y tools. If I didn't believe this program could help fellow authors, I wouldn't be writing this blog post in the first place!
(For transparency's sake, the hyperlinks in this email are my affiliate links, but please don't let that distract you. I was telling people about Chandler's school looooong before I signed up to be an affiliate)
Hope to see you on the other side, and Happy Reading!
For all my TL;DR readers, here's the gist:
Chandler Bolt's Self Publishing School. Google it or click this link to sign up to a free video series where he explains how to go from no idea (or vague idea) to published, launched and proud! If you want an idea of whether or not fiction/fantasy works under this kind of program, go back and take a trip through The Witch -- That's right, my first book was taken exclusively through this program. Go check it out!
Thoughts about writing, updates on work, glimpses into old pieces, and reviews on other things I have read.
