The Reviled by Cynthia A. Morgan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
The Reviled starts out very strongly and builds very steadily. It covers the adventures of a young Fey, and her slow descent into (possible) madness when she begins to sense a dark presence nearby...and then begins to talk to *him*.
Pros: Good world-building, well-developed characters, steady and forward-moving plot.
Cons: None that I can think of.
Overall: It was a throughly enjoyable read. Strong female lead accomplished without her 'needing' to be and do and say male things, strong yet giving male lead, not too heavy on the romance but just enough between them to make it real. Truely, Morgan has begun to bring the sense of the old fantasy classics back into the light in a very involving way. I can't wait to read the next one.
